May 1 is May Day. Traditions include wrapping a Maypole with ribbons and leaving a paper basket or cone with flowers and sweets on each other’s doorsteps. After reading an article, Mrs. Hildebrand's students created a May Day basket and encouraged to deliver it anonymously.
