Mrs Miller and Mrs Buchan 4th graders kicked off their mystery units this week with a cookie crime scene. The students used Inferences and context clues to figure out who the cookie thief was.

Mrs. Aschliman's class investigated pumpkins today. Students made a hypothesis as to whether the pumpkin would sink or float. They learned about buoyancy and density and practiced estimation and measuring. The highlight was getting messy hands as they counted seeds!





Mr. Warpup's 7th grade social studies classes learned about the first ancient writing system in the world: cuneiform. Students practiced writing their names in cuneiform on clay tablets, just like the Sumerians did in Mesopotamia.





Yearbook staff members traveled to PFW to learn more about theme development, design, coverage, photography, leadership. They also had the chance to work with a professional graphic designer to design this year's cover.

Maddy Gerber and Makenna Schwartz were recently interviewed by WPTA for the Junior Achievement Young Entrepreneur of the Month Show, which will air in October and November. They were able to share about their small business startups.
