Lumen Prints have a long history dating back to the cameraless times of the 1830s. Students created their compositions using fruit, flowers/foliage, and kitchen spices. These items were then placed on sensitized darkroom photo paper and taken outside to develop in the sunshine. Once students were happy with the color changes of the paper, the pieces were then taken inside, scanned, and went through post-production. Students learned how to use an editing program to further develop their projects.

6th graders learned about the color wheel and how to create value using one color with the addition of black and white. Students had the opportunity to design their own landscape for the painting.

Dates have been set for the start of the 2021-2022 school year! Mark your calendars for Elementary Registration and Back-to-School Night!
